Seema is also a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist for over 25 + years of experience in diverse settings and population. Seema teaches traditional Reiki as well as variety of coaching classes to practitioners as well as parents and caregivers who have or want to work with children with special needs supports. Seema started her Reiki journey in 2004 in Western-style Reiki from India and completed Reiki master training in modern western style. At that time she herself was going through a difficult time in her own life dealing with health issues of her child who had Autism and dealing with stresses on day to day basis. Reiki provided her a tool that gave her strength to deal and to bring the best in her and her family even in adverse situations. In year 2012 she came across traditional Reiki teachings , which were focused on self empowerment and that paved a way for her to find inner strength and empowerment and peace and joy in her life. She later also went further in her learning and completed Shinpiden training to be a certified Reiki teacher in traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho. After that training a big shift happened in her life which led her to path of self discovery and she was fortunate to receive Vajrayana teachings in Tibetan Buddhism from ZaChoeje Rinpoche Since then she is practicing student of Tibetan Buddhism and Usui Reiki Ryoho. Seema believes that we never stop learning and we can only go as deep in our teaching as deep we are in our own life and learning. She has since than received many ongoing teachings in traditional system of reiki as well as Buddhism to help her integrate these practices in a simple way to help her clients and students in classes. Seema's clinical experience in therapy field, specializing in support of individuals and families dealing with wide spectrum of health issues as well as being a mother of now a teenager daughter on spectrum has given her a unique and multifaceted outlook on how to see “healing” as a whole picture. Seema is a strong advocate for empowering families and caregivers with special needs as well as clients and students. She believes a shift is needed in society for self empowerment. And this is what her foundation of teaching is. Seema makes teaching simple, fun and organic based on a person’s need and lots of her classes are in small groups and one on one basis , tailor made for the individual.
